- A code ending in a dash (for example E11.3-) is incomplete. Pick the complete code in the Tabular List.
- A code in [brackets] is a manifestation code. It's reported in addition to, and after, the underlying condition's code.
- Words in parentheses are nonessential modifiers. They don't change the code.
