New tools, datasets, and improvements, newest first.

  1. Coding instructions and the Alphabetic Index

    • ICD-10-CM code pages now show the official Tabular List instructions: Excludes1, Excludes2, Code first, Use additional code, Code also, and Includes notes, including those inherited from the category, section, and chapter.
    • 7th-character tables on injury, poisoning, and other codes that need one, with the code's own character highlighted.
    • Every ICD-10-CM code page now shows its Tabular List section (e.g. E08-E13 Diabetes mellitus).
    • New ICD-10-CM Alphabetic Index: search or browse the Index to Diseases and Injuries, External Cause Index, Table of Drugs and Chemicals, and Neoplasm Table A–Z, with every code linked to its page.

  2. Search everywhere, dark mode, and a mobile menu

    • Universal search: type a code (E11.9, G0101), a keyword plus code (CARC 16, POS 11), a 10-digit NPI, or plain words — the homepage box and the new results page detect what you meant.
    • Command palette: press / or Ctrl/⌘ K on any page to search or jump to a tool.
    • Dark mode, with your choice remembered.
    • Copy-code buttons and previous/next links on code pages; related codes now show the ones nearest the code you're viewing.
    • Branded preview images when ICD-10 and HCPCS code pages are shared.
    • A working navigation menu on phones and tablets.
    • New About & data sources page showing where each dataset comes from and when it was last loaded.

  3. EDI viewers, DRG, and risk adjustment

    • 837P and 835 file viewers — parsed entirely in your browser, nothing is uploaded.
    • MS-DRG lookup with relative weights and average length of stay.
    • ICD-10 ↔ CMS-HCC crosswalk for risk adjustment coding.
    • Condition, occurrence, and value code lookup for institutional claims.

  4. Guides, API docs, and glossary

    • First three practitioner guides.
    • Public JSON API documentation for the code lookups.
    • Healthcare data glossary written in plain English.

  5. Launch: core code lookups

    • ICD-10-CM (FY2027), HCPCS Level II, Place of Service, taxonomy, CARC/RARC, modifiers, revenue codes, and Type of Bill.
    • NPI provider lookup via the CMS NPPES registry.
    • An individual page for every code, plus a sitemap.
